Conversing and Educating:  This blog is about you and your interest for the day which intersect with conversations and topics related to education.  This blog is called BAB (Baby Anne's Blogs) in honor of my uncle and my first nickname, "Baby Ann," given by him.  That nickname reminds me of the beginning informal education that I received by conversing and not conversing with others.  To that extent, feel free to be formal or informal in your conversations; just converse and respect others in the process as this retired teacher educator, who will never quit teaching, shares her expertise with others.  If you need more information about me, view my resume at your convenience.

Congratulations is an overused word but it is a good and quick way to let someone know that you are proud of them and/or their actions.  It should not be a goal of attainment but it should be the product of attainment.  One should do something to earn the small overused word, and the word should be expressed as much or more than needed.  Let someone know that you are proud of them!  Encourage each other!

One's level of education

Posted on January 22, 2018 at 11:45 AM Comments comments ()

One's level of education should not have to be broadcasted to others on a daily basis.  Others should be able to listen to you talk, to examine your reasoning, read your writing, and observe your behavior to form an opinion about your level of education.  An educated person usually uses their position and knowledge as an opportunity to serve and not as a trumpet call to self-importance (Walters, 1993). First Lady Michelle Obama said, "Be empowered. Empower yourselves with ...
